Betty Hindman was born on September 14, 1927 in Waterloo, Alabama, the daughter of the late Clarence Montgomery and Hattie Maxie Smith Sharp. On June 6, 1941, she was united in marriage to Warren Hindman, who preceded his wife in death on November 4, 1988.
Mrs. Hindman was self-employed as a health nurse assistant. She was a member of Hollands Creek United Methodist Church. Betty loved quilting, cooking, taking care of others, and tending to her flower and vegetable gardens.
Betty Hindman departed this life on February 13, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 92 years, 4 months, and 29 days.
Betty is survived by her daughters, Regina Robertson of Heafer, Arkansas and Pamela Hindman Woods of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Michael Hindman and Keith Woods, both of Savannah, Tennessee; sisters, Drew Robinson and Polly Dinsmore, both of Ohio; grandchildren, Sonya Harvey, Melissa Mast, Betty McCorkel, Cynthia Harris, Angela Martin, Kenneth Hindman, Brent Hindman, Tania Wesson, and Christopher Woods; 30 great grandchildren; and 4 great great grandchildren.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her sons, Rayburn Hindman, Wesley Hindman, and Alton Hindman; daughter, Ina Lancaster; brothers, John Sharp and Vestal Sharp; and grandchildren, Mary Jane Hindman and Katrina Duncan.
