Betty Jean Harris

Mrs. Harris passed away Wednesday, May 30, 2018, at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.
She was born in Hardeman County and lived her entire life here. The daughter of the late John Jackson Tillman and Ida Lee Vaughn Tillman, she attended Hardeman County Schools before she married Zane Harris on Saturday, October 20, 1956.
Mrs. Harris was a long-time member of the New Bethany church of Christ near Middleton and had worked in dietary at Pine Meadows and also at KFC. In her leisure time, she enjoyed cooking and spending time with her cats.
Her survivors include her husband, Zane Harris of Bolivar; two sisters, Dessie Mayberry of Memphis and Sarah Jane Montgomery of Pottsboro, TX; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Bessie Harbin; and four brothers, Cecil, Joe, Charlie and Lloyd Tillman; and several brothers and sisters who did not survive infancy.
