BILLY ROBERT ASKEW
Henderson, TN; Billy Robert Askew, age 87, passed away November 28, 2019 at Henderson Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born on January 27, 1932 in Bemis, the son of the late Robert Earl and Ruth Porter Askew. He attended school at Phillips School House. He entered the U.S. Army in 1951, serving in the 306th Field Hospital stationed in Germany and Vassincourt France as a medic. He married Ruthie Otie Cupples who passed away, and later Betty Kilzer who also passed away. Bill had made his home in Henderson where he operated Asplundh Tree Service. He also was a landscaper alongside Arlin Porter. He later married Tennie McCaskill, who passed away in 2019.
Mr. Askew is survived by two sons, Rodney Askew (Debra) of Henderson, Jerry Wade (Brenda) of Austin, AR; two daughters, Frankie L. Copeland (Jason) of Henderson, and Teresa Ramey (Ted) of Linden; one daughter-in-law, Tammy Askew; one son-in-law, Clay Barcroft; one sister, Leahrae Taylor of Jackson; thirteen grandchildren and sixteen great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by one son, Randall Askew in 2017; one daughter, Jamie Barcroft in 2019, and one sister, Earlene Jones.
The family will be hosting a celebration of life gathering at Grace Baptist Church from 5:00-7:00 PM on Thursday, December 5th in the Fellowship Hall.
