Graveside funeral services for Bill Kiestler, 80, of Pryor, Oklahoma will be held 1:00pm, Saturday, August 08, 2020 at Mt. Gilead Cemetery in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. Pastor Mark LaRue will officiate with military honors provided by the United States Air Force. Services are under direction of Rose Hill Funeral Home and Shackelford Funeral Directors of Selmer.
Billy “Bill” Wayne Kiestler was born March 19, 1940 in McNairy County, Tennessee to Lester and Lottie (Henley) Kiestler. He departed this life August 03, 2020 in Muskogee, Oklahoma at the age of 80.
Bill was raised and attended school in Bethel Springs, Tennessee. He later enlisted in the United States Air Force, serving in Maine and Japan from 1959-1963. Following his active duty, Bill enlisted in the United States Air Force Reserves, serving from 1963-1967.
He married Wilma Wilson on May 09, 2005 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas.
Prior to retirement, Bill enjoyed a 36 year career as a cross-country truck driver based out of Memphis, Tennessee for McLean Trucking. Bill’s love for travel followed him into retirement. He had homes in Bethel Springs, Tennessee and Pryor, Oklahoma and often traveled between the two.
Bill is survived by his wife, Wilma of the home; two daughters, Rhonda Burks and husband Keith of Murray, Kentucky and Sandy Miller of Cordova, Tennessee; one sister, Betty Stewart of Oakland, Tennessee; four grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; nephews, Rod and Randy Williford; as well as numerous other family members.
He was preceded in death by his parents and also by his siblings, Shelby Sellers, D.C. Kiestler, Joann Kiestler, Douglas Kiestler and Linda Kiestler.
