Mrs. Majors passed away Monday morning, December 17, 2018 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Grand Junction, TN to the late Wiley Franklin and Carrie Hensley Irwin. She is also preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, James Boyde Hill (m. 1945) in April, 1970; her second husband, Aubra "Red" Majors (m. 1977) in July, 1988; two daughters, Sheila Martin Keough of Pocahontas, TN and Patricia Farmer (Bill) of Collierville, TN; two sons, Michael Boyde Hill and Gary Hill, both of Bolivar; a granddaughter, Alisha Ann Hill; a grandson, Jan-Michael Hill; a great-grandson, Justin Raye Navarro; and several sisters and brothers.
Survivors include four daughters, Robin Majors (Lynn) of Bolivar, Kelly Craft (Rickey) of Maryville, TN, Barbara Brooks (Jimmy) of Medon and Amber Wiles (Mike) of La Vergne, TN; three sons, James Larry Hill (Virgie), Donald Hill (Barbara) and David Hill (Keri), all of Bolivar; three step-daughters, Patsy Stenson of Bolivar, Diane Maxwell (Dickey) of Savannah and Maerene Webb (Larry) of Middleton; a step-son, Wayne Majors (Karla) of Jacksonville, FL; daughter-in-law, Janet Hill of Selmer; 26 grandchildren, 15 step-grandchildren and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Majors lived in Memphis for 19 years where she worked as a nurse's aide at Baptist and Methodist Hospitals. In 1970, she returned to Hardeman County and was a nurse's aide at Western Mental Health Institute. She was a member of the Walnut Grove Baptist Church and, in her spare time, enjoyed working jigsaw and crossword puzzles.
