Billy Joe "Jr." Hodge, age 60, formerly of Bolivar, passed away Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at NHC Healthcare in Milan.
He was born March 18, 1958 in Jackson, the son of Billy Joe Hodge, Sr. and the late Joyce Aileen Arwood Taylor Mathis and lived his whole life around Hardeman County. He worked as a mechanic and enjoyed fishing and being with his family, prior to becoming disabled in 1990. He was a Baptist in faith.
Survivors include his father and stepmother, Billy Joe Hodge, Sr. (Sue) of Hornsby; a son, Chris Hodge of Jackson; five sisters, Robin Watson (Lawrence) of Bolivar, Gail Marcum (Keith) of Bolivar, Beverly Mitchell of Hornsby, Anita Wyman (Dale) of Middleton and Lorri Lee Brown (Ron) of Hornsby; three brothers, Tony Hodge (Becky) of Middleton, David Taylor (Gail) of Middleton and John Hodge (Jennifer) of Medon; aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Joe and Grace Hodge; maternal grandparents, Dewey & Effie Arwood; and a nephew, Jacob Dowty.
