Billy Seaton departed this life on Friday, January 24, 2013, at the age of 82 years, 9 months, 18 days.
Billy was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 6, 1931, the son of the late Carl and Blanche Caperton Seaton. On October 14, 1956, he was united in marriage to Jo Ann Phillips, who preceded him in death on December 23, 2013.
He is survived by his children, Paul Seaton and wife Peggy of Counce, Tennessee, and Dana Seaton of Madison, Tennessee; grandchildren, Paul Daniel Seaton and Molly Seaton.
Billy had served his country honorably in the U.S. Army and National Guard during the Korean Conflict. Billy retired as rural mail carrier with the U.S. Postal Service after almost 40 years of loyal service. He was a member of the Tennessee River Lodge, the First United Methodist Church, and the F & AM. He was a people person, an honorable man, a man of his word. Billy loved UT Martin, was an avid hat collector, and enjoyed farming. But his real joy came from his grandchildren, PD and Molly.
In addition to his parents and wife of 57 years, Jo Ann Seaton, he was preceded in death by a brother, Max Seaton.
