Billy Wayne Dodd

Mr. Dodd departed this life on Sunday, June 20, 2021 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.

Born at Three Forks in Tippah County, MS, he was the son of the late James E. and Ella Brown Dodd. United in marriage to Polly Smith on April 22, 1961, she passed away August 7, 2020. Together, they had four lovely daughters, Martha (Ricky) Campbell of Somerville, Linda (Johnny) Bain of Bethel Springs, Shelia (Joey) Carnell of Jackson and Betty (Ronnie) Rhodes of Henderson. He leaves 14 grandchildren, 43 great-grandchildren and 5 great-great-grandchildren.

He is also survived by a sister, Norma Anthony; and a two brothers, James and Darse Dodd. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ella Mae Brown.

Most all of his life, Mr. Dodd worked in a sawmill as a sawer. He had been employed by Grisham's Stave Mill in Medon and, for many years, at Hopper Lumber Company and Sawmill. In his leisure time, he enjoyed having a garden every year and was a loving husband, father, Papaw, GG Paw and friend.

Rest in peace, we will meet again. Love you always. Husband and wife - together forever.
