BOB AUSTIN
was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on April 15, 1938 the son of the late Archie Floyd and Minnie L. Austin.
On September 21, 1974 he was united in marriage to Wilma Dean Bowling, who survives.
Bob had lived in Gary, Indiana and worked for 38 years for LTV Steel as a forklift operator. He was a 32nd Degree Mason and loved fishing, hunting, and watching sports. Bob loved hearing jokes and especially telling them.
He departed this life on September 7, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 82 years, 4 months and 23 days.
In addition to his wife of 45 years, Wilma of Savannah, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Joanna Rinks of Savannah, Tennessee and Dale Austin of California; grandchildren, Dustin Rinks and Amanda Rinks; adopted grandchildren, Craig, Joseph and Felix; 3 great grandchildren; sister, Betty Sue Degard of Hammond, Indiana; and brother, Floyd Gene Austin of Savannah, Tennessee.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents, sisters, Alda M. Crotts, Eva Doran Couch, and Annie Belle Austin, and one brother, Thomas Jesse Austin.
