BOB LITTLE
Henderson, TN: Robert Joe “Bob” Little, age 73 passed away Monday, July 18, 2022 at his home.
He was born in Chester County on September 7, 1948, son of the late Odell and Vera Wamble Little. He grew up in Henderson and was a 1967 graduate of CCHS.
He joined the U.S. Army after high school and served as a truck mechanic. He was a retired Vietnam veteran, Sergeant E-5. He received several Bronze Service Stars and a Vietnam Cross of Gallantry.
He met Merle Herbert while stationed in Germany and they married on December 15, 1979. They were stationed at Fort Riley, TX while Bob was in Korea. They were then stationed at Fort Carson, Co. until Bob’s retirement and they moved to Henderson. Merle preceded him in death on November 2, 2017.
Bob has been working transport for Yarbrough Mortuary in Jackson for 20 years.
He was a member of the Estes Church of Christ.
He was preceded in death by parents, wife and brother, Ronnie Little.
Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel. Burial will follow in Estes Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM service time on Friday.
