BOBBY CONNOR
Jacks Creek, TN: Bobby Wayne Connor age 64 passed away November 7, 2014 at his home.
He was born March 23, 1950 in Madison County the son of the late Kent and Marie Johnson Connor. He graduated from Chester County High School in 1968. He was employed at ITT Grinnell for a few years and was married to Debra Rush on June 13, 1969. They purchased a grocery store at Jacks Creek that became known as C & R Grocery in 1974. He and Debra operated C & R while they raised their family.
Mr. Connor was a member of the Grace Baptist Church in Pinson. He loved his family, his friends and seeing his customers at the store and also enjoyed riding motorcycles and raising cattle.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Rush Connor of Jacks Creek; three sons, Terry Connor and wife Kaye of McMinnville, Toby Connor and wife Cammy of Henderson and Ty Connor and wife Rachel of Henderson; six grandchildren, Cody and wife Hannah, Allison, Hayley, Baylee, Camryn and Travis and three brothers, Jimmy Connor and wife Sherry of Jacks Creek, Lynn Connor and wife Diane of Beech Bluff and Jason Connor and wife Brandy of Henderson.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Sunday, November 9, 2014 at the Grace Baptist Church with Bro. Eric Martin officiating and burial will follow in Chester County Memory Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Johnson Chapel 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Saturday.
The family ask that memorials be direct to Grace Baptist Church in Pinson; Skyline church of Christ in Jackson or the Westwood church of Christ in McMinnville.
