Bobby Gene Cromwell departed this life on Tuesday, January 28, 2014, at the age of 85 years, 4 months, 22 days.
Bobby was born in Hardin County, Tennessee on September 6, 1928, the son of the late Charlie and Daisy Spencer Cromwell. On April 8, 1949, he was united in marriage to Jo Ann Moore, who survives. He was a foreman at Brown Shoe Company and retired after 35 years of service. Bobby had loved playing football in high school. Bobby and his wife Jo Ann, delivered meals on wheels, he was also the co-fire chief for many years . He loved fishing, hunting, woodworking, gardening, and doing anything and everything for his grandchildren. Bobby was a member of East End United Methodist Church. He was the last living charter member of East End UMC, having been a member of the church since he was 11 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Jo Ann Cromwell of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Bobby Cromwell and wife Ann, Joey Cromwell and wife Sandra all of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Laura Lee Jones and husband Trey of Memphis, Tennessee, Clint Cromwell and wife Lymari of Nashville, Tennessee, and Chase Cromwell of Oxford, Mississippi; great-grandchildren, Ann Charlotte Jones, Hooper Jones, Ruthie Cromwell, and Nora Cromwell.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by, sisters, Annie Wilma Bradley and Allie Reiney; brothers, Atlas Cromwell, Will Cromwell, and Earl Cromwell; grandparents, John Sidney and Pricey Delaney Cromwell, William Joseph and Eliza Jane Spencer.
