Bonnie Faye Bissell Johnson

Mrs. Bonnie Faye Bissell Johnson, the widow of Johnny Johnson, passed away Tuesday, September 17, 2019 at her home in Bolivar.

She was a native of Itta Bena, MS, where she graduated high school. She was the daughter of the late W. S. and Lois E. Hoyle Bissell. She also was a graduate of Mississippi Delta Junior College. On September 5, 1954, she was united in marriage to Mr. John Herschel Johnson; who preceded her in death on February 26, 2012.

The Johnsons worked closely together at their car dealership, Johnny Johnson Motors in Bolivar; where she was the bookkeeper for 31 years. Mrs. Johnson was a member of the Bolivar First United Methodist Church. In her leisure time, liked to travel and enjoyed attending the theater and shows.

She leaves her sister-in-law, Jean Johnson Wahl of Lutcher, LA and several nieces and nephews as her survivors. These include Allen H. Bissell, Jr. of Fairview, TN; C. Randall Bissell of Corpus Christi, TX; Harold G. "Sonny" Wahl, Jr. of Paulina, LA; Liz Wahl Andre of Paulina; Gary Wahl of Paulina; John Wahl of Lutcher, LA; Cecil T. Johnson, Jr. of Ypsilanti, MI; Mary J. Frazier of Ypsilanti; Linda J. Stennis of Rocky Mountain, VA. She also has numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded by brothers, Allen H. Bissell of Jackson, MS; Willard S. Bissell of New Orleans, LA; and an infant sister, Camille.
