Brenda Carolyn Locke Derryberry

Brenda Carolyn Locke Derryberry departed this life on February 6, 2015 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 70 Years, 10 Months, 2 Days. She was born April 4, 1944 the daughter of the late Estell T. and Vadell Hicks Locke.

She was united in marriage to Terry Wayne Derryberry on September 21, 1962.

Terry and Brenda owned a store in Ramer for many years. She was a 1962 graduate of Selmer High School. She previously had worked at General Electric in Selmer and Levi Strauss in Ramer. Brenda had a variety of hobbies, loved traveling with Terry, and cooking for her family and others. She loved helping other people in any way she could. She enjoyed reading and doing her daily crossword puzzle.

She is survived by her husband Terry Derryberry of Ramer, TN; a granddaughter, Amelia Gabrielle Young of Ramer, TN; four sisters, Martha Bess Locke Ashe and husband Charles of Selmer, TN, Rubye Locke Mathis and husband Owen of Selmer, TN, Jimmie Locke Crowe and husband Richard of Selmer, TN, Kaye Locke Massengill of Ramer, TN; a brother, Dwight E. Locke and wife Freida of Selmer, TN and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Derryberry was preceded in death by a daughter, Melinda Carol (Derryberry) Young; two sisters, Betty Sue Locke Horton and Peggy Jo Locke Kyle.
