C. F. Moore

C. F. Moore of Lawrenceburg, TN was born August 25, 1931 in Waynesboro, TN, the son of the late Horace C. and Lillie Belle Shaffer Moore. He was united in marriage to Geraldine Jackson on May 1, 1954. Mr. Moore was a retired dozer operator with the Wayne County Highway Department and was a member of the Eastview Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee.

Mr. Moore departed this life on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at Waynesboro Health and Rehabilitation in Waynesboro, Tennessee at the age of 86 Years, 6 Months, 3 Days.

He is survived by his wife, Geraldine Moore of Lawrenceburg, TN; a son, George Cleveland Moore and wife, Kristy of Lawrenceburg, TN; daughters, Cynthia (Peggy Jo) Gatlin and husband, Tony and Virginia Ann Pierce all of Lawrenceburg, TN and Ethel Jane Cummins and husband, Terry of Waynesboro, TN; 10 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Moore was preceded in death by a son, Tim Franklin Moore; a grandson, Tim Franklin Moore, Jr. and daughters-in-law, Deborah Moore, Amy Moore and Pebble Moore.

Services will be held on Friday, March 2, 2018 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Laverne Griggs officiating. Burial will follow in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, directing. Visitation will be Thursday, March 1, 2018 from 6 pm to 9 pm and Friday, March 2, 2018 from 8 am until service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Tony Gatlin, Wesley Pennington, Cleveland G. Moore, Jimmy Skaggs, III, Eric Cummins and Earl Moore.
