Carl Wade Young, Sr., age 73, of Bolivar, departed this life Wednesday, September 26, 2018 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The husband of Ludell Wilson Young, who survives, he was a truck driver and welder, prior to becoming disabled around 1994. He was born February 21, 1945 in Hardeman County, son of the late James Edward and Ethel Young and lived all of his life in Hardeman County except for a short time in Indiana, Michigan and his time in the US Air Force. He married Ludell on October 12, 1974 and traveled all over the country working in construction. He was a proud member of the American Legion and enjoyed fishing, hunting and working outdoors. His greatest enjoyment came from being around his grandchildren, whom he dearly loved, and will be fondly remembered for 'picking' on his family in a loving way. Mr. Young was a Baptist in belief.
In addition to his wife, survivors include a daughter and her husband, Lisa Dickson (Rodney) of Middleton; 3 sons and a daughter in law, Greg W. Young of Greenwood, IN, Carl Wade Young, Jr. of Bolivar and James Mitchell Young (Amanda) of Covington; a brother, Charles David Young (Barbara) of Florida; 3 sisters, Carolyn Taylor (Herman), Margie Burnette and Nell Marie Jones, all of Toone; and 11 grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Jimmy Wayne Young; a grandson, Trey Wade Young; a son, Jerry Lee Young; and an infant child.
