MEMORIAL SERVICES FOR MRS. McPHERSON ARE 10:30 AM, MONDAY, JUNE 4, 2018 AT THE FIRST UNITED METHODIST CHURCH IN BOLIVAR WITH REV. AMANDA HARTMANN-WESTMORELAND OFFICIATING.
Carol C. McPherson, 80, died Friday, May, 25, 2018, at her home in Bolivar. Carol was born January 26, 1938 to Robert and Eleanor McGrath in Blackfoot, Idaho. Carol grew up living throughout the mid-west as her father's career had directed him. She was married to her high school sweetheart, William (Bill) McPherson, December 6, 1955 in Casper, Wyoming. He survives.
For the next 22 years, Carol lived a life full of travel and adventure following Bill and his Naval career. Shortly after Bill's Naval retirement, Carol and Bill settled in Newton, Kansas for the next 25 years. Desiring to be close to her sons, they decided to relocate to Bolivar, Tennessee, where they have lived for the last 12 years.
Other survivors include four sons, Bill (Donna), of Jackson, MS, Steve (Teresa), of Memphis, TN, Curtis (Kay), of Middleton, TN, and Jeff, of Denver, CO; her mother, Eleanor McGrath of Grand Junction, CO; her sisters, Judy Stone of Wenatchee, WA, Mary Murrin of Denver, CO; her brothers, Kevin of Perrin, TX, Jack of Grand Junction, CO; eleven grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by three sons, Sean, Andrew and Anthony; one brother, Robert (Bob); one sister, Sharon; and her father, Robert.
In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be sent to the "Memorial Fund" of the First United Methodist Church, 218 West Market Street, Bolivar, TN 38008.
