Mr. Cecil Alton Pitts departed this life on Sunday, April 19, 2015 at his residence in Clifton, Tennessee at the age of 79 Year Old. He was born August 13, 1935 in Clifton, TN the son of the late Jim and Annie Davis Pitts. In addition to his parents, Mr. Pitts was preceded in death by ;brothers, J C Pitts, Edward Pitts; sisters, Delia Bell Reeves and Mary Pulley;

He was united in marriage to Katherine Dianne Hobbs on August 6, 1983.

Mr.Cecil was retired from Ohio River Company, Ingram as a tow boat operator . He attended the Church of God and enjoyed farming and fishing.

He is survived by his wife Katherine Dianne (Hobbs) Pitts; Waynesboro, TN
son, Tony Pitts of Parsons, TN; daughters, Angie Lara and Tonya Hobbs both of Clifton, TN. 12 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren; sister; Hazel Turner of Waynesboro, TN

Services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Old Union Church , Waynesboro, TN with Billy Wright officiating. Burial will follow in Prater's Chapel Cemetery , Clifton, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, April 21, 4:00 pm until service time at Old Union Church, Waynesboro
