CILLIAN HORTON
Nashville, TN: Cillian David Aurelius Horton, age 10 months, passed away early Wednesday morning, June 22, 2022 at Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital.
Cillian was born on August 15, 2021 in Nashville, son of Hannah Katherine Mead and Matthew David Horton, and promptly embraced his role as the handsomest lady-killer there ever was, and left a legacy as such.
His education included specializing in the study of construction diggers, race cars, and helicopters, which he had the pleasure of viewing the take-offs and landings of from his helipad view from his hospital room. He loved boxing, being grumpy, and watching his cartoons until he found the joy of learning to smile and people watching – which he grew to become quite adept at. Despite the struggles he faced in his life, he always managed to shoot a killer smile at all he was greeted by; and touched and inspired many by his ability to always wear the handsomest of grins. This ability and charisma eventually landed him the title of Official Mayor of the Vanderbilt Children’s Hospital NICU, and was affectionately known by his earned title of “The Mayor with the good hair.”
Cillian is survived by his mother Hannah Mead and father Matthew Horton; a sister Georgia Evelyn Horton; grandparents Danna Bowman, Randy and Stefanie Mead, Anthony “Bo” and Amy Horton, Kelly Horton; great grandparents Agnes McLeod, Wade Cox; aunts Hillary Mead, Jenny (Brian) Howell, Sofie Hueter; and an uncle Caden Hueter.
He was preceded in death by his great grandparents David and Joyce Bowman, Jerry Mead, and Jerry McLeod.
