Claire Atcheson Jackson

Claire Atcheson Jackson was born August 11, 1937 in Dearborn, MI. Mrs. Jackson was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church in Waynesboro, Tennessee and a retired LPN, having worked at Wayne Medical Center in Waynesboro, TN and Crockett Hospital in Lawrenceburg, TN.

Mrs. Jackson departed this life on Thursday, August 1, 2019 at Maury Regional Hospital in Columbia, Tennessee at the age of 81 Years, 11 Months, 21 Days.

She is survived by her son, Michael J. Jackson and wife, Deborah of Iron City, TN and her daughter, Teresa Jackson of Tucson, AZ; two grandchildren, Corey and Emily Jackson; four great-grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Carter Jackson and Layla and Sierra Glaspie.

She is preceded in death by husband, James Paul Jackson; her son, Robert Paul Jackson and a sister, Carole Erikson.

Services will be held on Saturday, August 3, 2019 at 3:00 PM at Shackelford Funeral Directors chapel in Waynesboro, Tennessee, with Bro. Keith Cagle and Bro. H. H. Hurst officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hope Church of Christ Cemetery at Waynesboro, Tennessee with Shackelford Funeral Directors, Wayne County, assisting the family. Visitation will be Saturday, August 3, 2019 from 11:30 am to service time at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Corey Jackson, Charlie Hampton, Jarrod Davis, Dan Kelly, Michael Gallien and Chris Mauldon.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be given to the Butterfly Foundation in Waynesboro, TN or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Memphis, TN.
