Mrs. Henley passed away Thursday morning, June 28, 2018 at Pine Meadows Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Bolivar.
She was born in Hardeman County, the daughter of the late William Patrick Graham and Ora Lee Clark Graham. Mrs. Henley lived most all of her life in the District 15 area of Fayette County.
On July 26, 1941, she was united in marriage to Mr. Audrey Burton Henley who preceded her in death on March 12, 1994. A homemaker, she also had worked for Salant & Salant before retiring after 27 years of service. Her church membership was with Bethlehem Baptist Church near Whiteville. Faith and family were top priorities for Mrs. Henley and she enjoyed tending to and nourishing her flowers in her leisure time.
She leaves three daughters, Janice Faye Lax of Somerville, Linda Lois Kirkland (James) of Toone and Brenda Henson (Rickey) of Whiteville; two daughters-in-law, Dot Henley of Somerville and Joan Henley of Oakland; 17 grandchildren, 34 great-grandchildren and 39 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by five sons, Jerry, Terry, Audrey Burton, Jr., Jimmy and Bobby Glenn Henley; an infant daughter; a grandson, Hunter Kirkland; great-grandchildren, Christian Nicole Nix and Logan Werkheiser; her sister, Doris Graham Chesser; three brothers, Bobby, Charles and Billy Joe Graham; and a son-in-law, Riley Lax.
