CLARENCE PUSSER
Henderson, TN: Clarence Earl Pusser age 86, passed away April 8, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born April 21, 1934 at Enville, the son of the late Fred Clarence and Lela Myrtle Adams Pusser. He attended school at Cash School House. He married Mayrene Clayton. They made their home at Enville. Mr. Pusser was a truck driver, hauling gravel for forty years. The past twenty-five years he worked in bus maintenance for the Chester County School System. He married Annie Smith. They made their home at Enville. She preceded in death in 2011.
He retired from the bus system about a year ago. He loved riding his dog around and always had a garden. He enjoyed “Loafing Around”. He enjoyed family gatherings, continuing a family relationship with the Clayton Family.
Mr. Pusser is survived by a son, Dwight Pusser (Doris) of Henderson; a daughter, Sheila Smith (Larry) of Henderson; six grandchildren, fourteen great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, Annie Smith Pusser, a sister, Myrtle Pusser and four brothers, Leonard Pusser, F.C. Pusser Dewey Pusser and Eunice Pusser.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday, April 10th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – East Main Chapel with Bro. Mike Cothren officiating. Burial will follow in Sweetlips Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at East Main Chapel 10:00 AM Saturday until service time.
