Clay Marcus (Birdman) Hunter was born September 27, 1936 in Pinson, TN the son of the late Alvin and Virgie Allison Hunter.
Mr. Hunter was united in marriage to Imogene English on April 9, 1971. Mrs. Hunter preceded him in death on August 7, 2019. He was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. He proudly served our country in the U. S. Army and in the National Guard. Clay retired from General Electric and later worked as a custodian at Adamsville Elementary School. He was a dedicated worker and very active in volunteering for many things, especially at the assisted living. He also was a volunteer with the Adamsville Fire Department. He enjoyed camping, music and square dancing.
Mr. Hunter departed this life on July 19, 2020 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 83 Years, 9 Months, 22 Days.
He is survived by his children: Harold English and wife Judy of Bartlett, TN, Pamala Coleman and husband Kirk of Robinson, NC, Bobby Hunter of Pinson, TN, Jerry Hunter and wife Tammy of Hendson, TN, Renee Lambert and husband Ronnie of Adamsville, TN; nine grandchildren: Jeremy English, Jason English, Dr. Jonathan English, Richard Loose, Amber Cupples, Kimberly Henson, Cody Henson, Crystal Pitchford, Roger Pitchford; 16 great grandchildren; siblings: Betty Steward of Selmer, TN, Bill Hunter of Selmer, TN, Johnny Hunter and wife Pat of Memphis, TN, Judy Outlaw of Dover, TN; sister-in-law, Ann hunter of Selmer, TN; and a numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his wife and parents, Mr. Hunter was preceded in death by siblings: X L Hunter, James Hunter, Frank Hunter, Jerry Hunter and Imogene Meyer.
