Private Memorial Services will be held at a later date for Clayra McBride, 74, of Toone. She passed from this life on Thursday, November 21, 2019 at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
She was born in Toone, the daughter of the late Otis and Dorothy Taylor Young, and lived most all of her life there. A 1963 graduate of Bolivar Central High School, she worked in retail sales as an owner/operator and sales person. In her spare time, Mrs. McBride enjoyed antique collecting and gardening.
She leaves her daughter, Julie (Eric) Gowler of Selmer; her son, Robert (Sharon) Turner of Hickory Valley; her four grandchildren, who knew her as "Gran-Gran", Zeke Turner, Allie Turner, Reagan Gowler and Cole Gowler; her special friend, Glenn Harvey of Toone; her sister, Pearl West of Toone; her brother, Bobby Joe (Gwen) Young of Bolivar; and a host of nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Billy Wayne Young.
