Cleo L. Carter

Cleo L. Carter was born October 26, 1924 in Michie, TN the daughter of the late Alvin and Ollie Lee Smith Glidewell.

She was united in marriage to Chester E. Carter on January 1, 1946. Mr. Carter preceded her in death on April 8, 2002.

Mrs. Carter was a wonderful seamstress, an avid collector of dolls and glassware. She enjoyed the company of her rat terrier, Zorro and all her friends at the Bishop Center in Corinth, MS. Although she was unable to attend in recent years, she was a member of the North Corinth Baptist Church in Corinth, Mississippi.

Mrs. Carter departed this life on January 5, 2014 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 89 Years, 2 Months, 10 Days. She is survived by a son, Frank Carter and wife Debbie of Bethel Springs, TN; a daughter, Leain Carter Scott of St. Petersburg, FL; a grandson, Tyler Carter and wife Amanda of Huntsville, AL; three great grandchildren; host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by a sister, Armada Moore; a brother, Kermit Glidewell.
