Cleo F. Galloway, 97 of Saulsbury, passed from this life on January 7, 2021 surrounded by family.
Mr. Galloway was born July 10, 1923 to William Frank and Mandy Jane Gatewood Galloway. He served in the US Army during WWII. On December 29, 1945, he married Addie Elizabeth Burnette. They were together nearly 54 years, until her passing. A sawer at Seqentia, he was a faithful Bible reader and a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. He married Martha Blanche Toms on June 28, 1999 who passed on June 22, 2010. He enjoyed playing checkers, dominoes and solitaire, loved to sing and play the harmonica, pick and shell pecans, and especially loved spending time with his family. He was a lifelong resident of Hardeman County.
Survivors include his son-in-law, Winfred Ray of Bolivar; a granddaughter Tammy McDonald and husband Roger of Bolivar; a grandson Terry Ray and his wife Angela of Knoxville; twelve great-grandchildren, Jonathan Graham and wife Nikki, Christy Graham, Tara Smathers, James Tyler Ray and wife Amber, Melody Grace Evans and husband Jordan, Joshua Andrew Ray, Charity LeeAnne Ray, Jeremiah Adam Ray, Gloria Faith Ray, Josiah Benjamin Ray, and Kathryn Joy Ray; and three great-great grandchildren, Connor Graham "Birthday Boy", Jackson Graham "Jack" and Baylynn Graham "Windy". In addition to his parents and wives, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Sue Ray; five sisters, Eula Bell Baker, Dorothy Spieler, Ruth Black, Ora Kirk and Irene Wray; and by four brothers, Claude, John T., William and Ellis Galloway.
While visiting or attending services for Mr. Galloway, please consider the following guidelines: * Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person; * Refrain from hugs and handshakes; * When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth; * Wash your hands often; * Avoid touching your face; and * Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
