Rev. Cletis Keele was born on August 31, 1936 in Waterloo, Alabama, the son of the late John Henry Keele and Nancy Keele Wilkerson.
On October 13, 1956, he was united in marriage to Katie Hurley, who survives.
Cletis worked for Hassell and Hughes Lumber Company where he filed and hammered saws. He also had his own workshop at his home. Rev. Keele served as Pastor at Sand Hill Holiness Church in Savannah, Tennessee for 47 years. He loved to fish, listen to Bible stories on the radio, and read his Bible.
His greatest joy was spending time with his family.
Rev. Cletis Keele departed this life on December 29, 2020 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 84 years, 3 months, and 29 days.
He is survived by his wife, Katie Keele of Savannah, Tennessee; sons, Ricky Keele and Jeffery Keele, both of Savannah, Tennessee; daughter, Patsy Keele of Savannah, Tennessee; grandchildren, Lisa Zandi, Cassie Letney, Rachel Roach, Jeffery Keele, Elisha Morris, amd Christopher Hill; great grandchildren, Devin Zandi, Trey Duck, Rachel Wilkerson, Jonathan Wilkerson, Brayden Letney, Slade Morris, Axel Roach, Sierra McFall, Rachel Morris, Ruthie Morris, Christian Morris, Brady Hill, Ayden Hill, Knox Hill, Callie Hill, and Taylen Hill; sisters, Betty Sue Hunt of Savannah, Tennessee and Minnie Ralls of San Antonio, Texas; a brother, James Keele of Savannah, Tennessee; a stepsister, Brenda Melson; and stepbrothers, Wayne Wilkerson, Randy Wilkerson, and Gene Wilkerson.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Nicky Keele, great grandson, Felix Melson, one sister, Mattie Lou Hollands, three brothers, Henry Keele, Otis Keele, and Clyde Keele; his stepfather, Dillon Wilkerson; and stepbrother, Chester Wilkerson.
