Creed Carroll departed this life on Monday, January 31, 2022, at the age of 70 years, 9 months, and 5 days. He was born in Memphis, Tennessee on April 26, 1951, the son of the late Thelma Stricklin and Dr. James Walker Carroll.
Creed played football for Central High School and scored the first touchdown after the stadium was named Jim Carroll Stadium. He was a member of First United Methodist Church and loved UT sports, photography, and Pickwick Lake.
Creed Carroll is survived by his sister, Catherine Elizabeth Carroll of Savannah, Tennessee; nephews, James Walker "Trip" Carroll, III and Bailey R. Carroll and his wife Lacey; great nephew, Archer James Carroll; first cousins, Marty and Kirk Carroll, Chip, Helen, Jane and Bill Carroll, Martha McFall Holman and Richard McFall, and all their extended families; and sister-in-law, Sherry Carroll.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Dr. J.W. "Jimbo" Carroll, DDS and Lillian E. Linom, a very special person to the family.
