Cynthia McCarty Gilkison

Cynthia McCarty Gilkison was born July 25, 1938 in New Orleans, LA the daughter of the late Robert and Mabel Ockman Brown.

Mrs. Gilkison loved helping others. She cared for AIDS patients by cooking and providing meals, involved in Lion's Club, and Planning Commission of Placerville, CA during the 80's. She was known to her family and friends as a booster/cheerleader for any cause.

Mrs. Gilkison was a successful owner/broker for ERA in Cameron Park, CA. She also worked for Boeing in Shingle Springs, CA. She had a love for flying - she owned two planes and traveled the world playing golf with her late husband, Lonnie. She and Lonnie were always entertaining in their home and loved being surrounded by their friends.

Cynthia was a loving daughter, and her generosity knew no limits.

Mrs. Gilkison departed this life on December 12, 2021 in Savannah, Tennessee at the age of 83 Years, 4 Months, 17 Days. She is survived by a sister, Pat Cullifer and husband Van of Stantonville, TN; a brother, Bob Brown and wife Pat of Mound, MN; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gilkison was preceded in death by her husband, Lonnie Gilkison.
