Darla Gaugh - Pinson

August 4, 1961 - January 29, 2021

Darla Gaugh Pinson: Darla Marie Gaugh, age 59, passed away Friday, January 29, 2021 at her office at Jackson General Hospital. She was born in Bellflower, California and grew up in the Five Points Community near Pinson, the daughter of Doris Bain McKinney and the late James F. Gaugh and her late step-father Owen McKinney. She graduated from South Side High School in 1979. She worked a few years for Mid-West Milk Company in Jackson, Whirlpool in Nashville and had worked the past twenty years in I. T. Support at Jackson General Hospital. She had also worked part-time at Hall Mark at Old Hickory Mall. She enjoyed traveling and crocheting. She was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. She is survived by her mother Doris Bain McKinney of Five Points, five brothers; Garey Gaugh and wife Debbie of Beech Bluff, Thomas Gaugh and wife Teresa of Pinson, Lee Gaugh and wife Diane of Jackson, Neil Gaugh and wife Lori of Henderson and Curt McKinney and wife Paula of Pinson. She has nine nieces and nephews and sixteen great nieces and nephews who she considered her own “kids”. She was preceded in death by her father James Fredrick Gaugh and step-father Owen Edward McKinney. The family will received friends at the funeral home from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM Monday evening. The family requests that facial coverings be worn and mindfulness of social distancing be practiced. There will be a private family service Tuesday at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue Chapel with Glenn Harris officiating. Burial will be at New Friendship Cemetery.
