DARLENE CUPPLES
Henderson, TN: Winna Darlene Cupples age 68 passed away September 22, 2020 at Bolivar General Hospital.
She was born August 1, 1952 in Jackson, TN the daughter of the late Cleo J. and Maurice Hopper Lambert. She grew up in Silerton and attended school at Silerton and Bolivar. She worked in the garment industries including Salant & Salant and the Bemis Cotton Mill. Then she worked at Purendoso in Jackson, TN, retiring in 2004. She also co-owned Double C Auction with her husband David.
She married David Cupples on September 11, 1970. They had been married 50 years.
She attended Silerton Baptist Church.
Mrs. Cupples is survived by her husband, David R. Cupples of Henderson; a son, Chris Cupples (Jenny) of Horn Lake, MS; two daughters, Michelle Smith (Felix) of Bethel Springs and Kim Ross (Fred Gladstone) of Benton, MO; eight grandchildren, Kira Cupples, Christopher Cupples, Cameron Cupples, Shelby Wilson, Allen Wilson, Taylor Coffman, Thomas McClain and James Ross; a brother, Larry Lambert (Anita) of Henderson and a sister, Joy Jeter (Hubert) of Bolivar.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Lema Lambert.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday, September 25th at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Skippy Rowland and Charlie Crouthers officiating. Burial will follow in Silerton Baptist Cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM on Thursday.
