Darrell E. Lambert was born December 10, 1952 in Michie, TN the son of the late Herbert and Anna Beatrice Glover Lambert.
He was united in marriage to Wanda Childers on May 15, 1978.
Mr. Lambert worked for over 30 years as a certified GM mechanic. He also drove a taxi for a couple years and as a child he farmed with his parents. He attended the church of Christ in Walnut, MS and was baptized at Liberty church of Christ in Michie, TN.
He loved to read, play his guitar and listen to music. He enjoyed fixing and tinkering on his vehicles, mowing the yard and doing research on his computer. His little dogs, Paxton and Chewy who passed in 2018 brought him joy and company.
Mr. Lambert departed this life on January 8, 2022 in Selmer, Tennessee at the age of 69 Years, 29 Days. He is survived by his wife Wanda Lambert of Selmer, TN; two sons, Jesse Childers and wife Kami of Corinth, MS, Marshall Lambert of Selmer, TN; three daughters, Leeanna Roemer and companion Kevin Carter of Selmer, TN, Amanda Lambert and companion Thomas Miller of Selmer, TN, Rebecca Crum of Union City, TN;
six grandchildren, Michael Hicks and wife Olivia of Glen, MS, Hayley Childers of Farmington, MS, Chasity Strayhorn of Ramer, TN, Cole Childers of Corinth, MS, Priscilla Parmley of Union City, TN, Kaylee Miller of Selmer, TN; 10 great grandchildren; a brother, Rodney Lambert of Michie, TN; two sisters, Janice Rhodes and husband Gerald of Michie, TN, Elizabeth Burney of Michie, TN; sister-in-law, Catherine Lambert of Selmer, TN; and a host of extended family and friends.
In addition to his parents, Mr. Lambert was preceded in death by two brothers, Donald and Douglas Lambert; brothers-in-laws, A.W. Burney, Jimmy Childers, Larry Childers; sisters-in-law, Geneva Lambert, Kaye Childers, Jo Basden,.
Funeral services will be private due to the rise in Covid cases, however, the visitation will be open to extended family and friends.
