DAVID D. CARSTEN
was born in Waynedale, Indiana on February 2, 1943 the son of the late Phillip John and Thelma Evelyn Lee Carsten.
On January 26, 1980 he was united in marriage to Martha (Marti) Ruiz, who survives.
David while living in Fort Wayne, Indiana he worked for Zollner Corporation and was the owner and operator of Parkwest Aquarium. After moving to Tennessee, he owned and operated several business, Ace Hardware in Selmer, Tennessee, CDL Incorporated in Selmer, Tennessee and Mr. C's Pizza at Pickwick Dam, Tennessee. David was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church in Pickwick . He loved being outdoors in his spare time and being on the lake. David loved to laugh and was such a loving husband, father and grandfather.
He departed this life on March 26, 2019 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 24 days.
In addition to his wife of 39 years, Marti of Counce, Tennessee, he is survived by his children, Dan Carsten of Mooresville, North Carolina, Nancy Carsten Glass of Leo, Indiana and Mike Carsten of Mason, Ohio; step children, Matt Clevenger of Selmer, Tennessee and Shannon Drake of Counce, Tennessee; brother, Larry Carsten of Greenback, Tennessee; grandchildren, Nick Glass, Noah Glass, Saylor Glass, Jace Carsten, Nate Carsten, Eli Rainey, Jacob Rainey and Carsten Drake.
David was preceded in death by his parents, Phillip and Evelyn Carsten, one brother, Jerry Carsten and his grandparents, John Carsten, Carrie Carsten, Manford Lee and Cora Lee.
