David Droke departed this life on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the age of 67 years, 2 months, and 22 days. He was born in Savannah, Tennessee on April 25, 1952, the son of the late Troy and Cornelia Hall Droke. On April 24, 1976, he was united in marriage to Rebecca Lynn Stewart, who preceded him in death on December 19, 2016.
David retired from Hardin Medical Center where he was a respiratory therapist assistant. He was a member of the New Pleasant Grove Freewill Baptist Church in Savannah, Tennessee. David enjoyed listening to music, traveling with friends and family, gardening, camping, hunting, fishing, and loved his grandkids.
He is survived by his daughter, Shelly Droke of Savannah, Tennessee; son, Jim Droke and his wife Lindsay of Medina, Tennessee; grandchildren, Walker, Carson, Allison, and Elizabeth; sisters, Reva Prince of Memphis, Tennessee and Francis Foster of Marion, Arkansas; and brothers, Buddy Droke of Weatherford, Texas and Willie Barnett of Memphis, Tennessee.
In addition to his parents and wife, David was preceded in death by his step mother, Mary Louise Droke, and brothers, Howard Droke and Bobby Droke.
