Deborah Lyn Morgan Holman Flatt, 71, was promoted to Heaven on December 25, 2020, while surrounded by her family in her home after her long battle with cancer.
Debby was born on December 22, 1949 in Anna, IL and was raised in Cairo. She married Jerry Thomas Holman on April 10, 1971. As a preacher’s wife, she lived in many parts of the country, loving and serving others. The couple had two daughters, Gretchen and Jerra. She finished her degree in nursing in 1984. The family settled in Crossville, TN, in 1984 where she was a Labor and Delivery Nurse/Team Coordinator for almost 25 years at the Cumberland Medical Center and where she lived until the unexpected death of her husband in 2012 . She moved to Henderson, TN to be near family. Spending time with her grandkids and OASIS & YAHOO church groups were highlights of her years in Henderson. She found love again and married Ben Flatt on January 16, 2016. There was never a dull moment with lots of laughter in their five years together.
She was the middle of three children born to the late Irvin and Maxine Morgan and was also preceded in death by her sister, Pamela Hill, brother, Craig Morgan, nephew, Brian Morgan, husband of over 40 years, Jerry Holman, and “bonus” son-in-law, Jimmy Boatman.
Survivors include her husband of almost five years, Ben Flatt, her two daughters, Gretchen (Brad) Toy of Stanford, KY and Jerra (Bobby) Leek of Henderson, TN, "adopted" son, Anton Kryuchkov of Klin, Russia, and “bonus” children, Tammie Flatt, Andy (Laura) Flatt, Lisa (Ronnie) Cummins, and Tracy Boatman all of middle TN, along with several other family members.
Grammy is also survived by six proud grandchildren who adored her, Brandon (Anna) Leek, Kaylin Leek, Katie Toy, Jaclyn Leek, Sarah Toy, and Braxton Leek; two great grandsons, Cason Cole and Brody Leek.
Covid times call for covid precautions. A family graveside service will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, December 29th at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in Villa Ridge, IL, with Ben Flatt and Jim Faughn officiating.

We will be honoring her life on Sunday, January 17th at 2 pm at Henderson church of Christ, in Henderson, TN, with family and friends sharing special memories. All will be welcome to attend at that time.
