Mrs. Jones died Sunday morning at the Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
Deborah was born in Fayette County, but lived most of her life in Hardeman County. She was the daughter of the late William David Reed and Joyce Marie Manley Reed Vales, who survives.
Mrs. Jones had worked in a nursing home in Jackson for 3 years and was Pentecostal in belief. In her leisure time, she enjoyed reading the Bible, gospel music and especially loved her grandchildren and family.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her daughter, Holly Nicole (Joshua) Stansell of Finger; her son, Gerald Dewayne McCay of Selmer; two sisters, Judy (Mike) Bean of East TN and Jenifer Lipford of Middleton; her brother, James David (Mary Kay) Reed of Selmer and seven grandchildren.
She is preceded in death by her father; her sister, Cathy James; three brothers, Joseph, Bobby and Gilbert Reed; and step-father, William Vales.
