Mrs. Bryant passed away Saturday afternoon, September 23, 2017.
She was born Tuesday, January 25, 1955 in Ripley, MS to James W. and Pearline Bass Gates and lived most all of her life in Hardeman County. On May 31, 1975, she was united in marriage to Mr. Terry E. Bryant. Mr. Bryant died Monday, May 21, 2007.
A homemaker, she was also a seamstress and operated Bryant's upholstery with her husband. Mrs. Bryant was an avid reader of the Bible and particularly enjoyed engaging in Bible studies. She enjoyed worshiping with several local congregations including West Memorial Baptist Church. In her leisure time, she enjoyed fishing, sewing, spending time on the water, flowers, her hummingbirds and caring for her grandchildren.
She leaves behind her daughter, Pam (Randy) Sizemore of Savannah; her sons, Terry Joel (Nicole) Bryant of Red Banks, MS and Jammy (Melinda) Bryant of Saulsbury; her sisters, Bonnie Gates (Mike) Frazier of Corinth and Tessie Gates Vuncannon of Walnut; nine grandchildren, Payten, Justin (Brandi), Corey, Brianna, Kaleb, Haylee Grace, Spencer, John Michael and Olivia; and one great-grandchild, Ava Grace.
In addition to her husband and parents, she is preceded in death by four sisters, Vannie Pearl, Lessie and Lealer Gates and Jeannie Mae Doles; and five brothers, Earnest, Marlin, William, Robert and James Ralph Gates.
