DENNIS GATEWOOD
Henderson, TN: Dennis Howard Gatewood age 70, passed away November 16, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
He was born June 30, 1951 in Martin, TN, the son of the late Roosevelt ‘Buck’ Gatewood and Ollie B. Gatewood. He grew up in West Chicago, IL. He lived in Palmersville, TN for about fourteen years before moving to Henderson in the 1990’s.
He was loved by everyone who met him. He loved working at Easter Seals as a sorter.
Mr. Gatewood is survived by a sister, Arlene Hill of Henderson and a brother, Kenneth Gatewood and wife Renee of Mokena, IL.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Ronald Gatewood, Mitchell Gatewood and Curtis Gatewood.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM Friday, at Shackelford Funeral Directors – Crook Avenue with Bro. Glenn Harris officiating. Burial will follow at Wesley Chapel Church Cemetery at Palmersville, TN, 2:00 PM on Friday.
The family will receive friends at Crook Avenue 5 PM until 8 PM on Thursday.
