Mr. Jones, 66, of Bolivar, passed away Monday morning, February 10, 2020.
He was the son of Carl Alvin and Thelma Hurst Jones and lived most all of his life in Hardeman County. He worked over 20 years as a foreman at Harmon Automotive and on April 8, 1974, married the former Cindy Spencer.
In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing pool, riding his Trike in the summer time, singing karaoke and time spent with family and friends. He especially loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He leaves his wife of 46 years, Cindy Jones of Bolivar; his daughter, Angela (Joe) Hill of Bolivar; two sisters, Phyllis Sinis of McKenzie, TN and Effie (Timmy) Hall of Grand Junction; two brothers, Alvin (Nell) Jones of Toone and Charlie Jones of Hornsby; seven grandchildren, Phillip Jones, Justin Graves, Peyton, Nathan and Ryan Hill, Katlin Graves Dacus, all of Bolivar and Kaycee Dacus of Collierville; five great-grandchildren, Chloe and Zoey Jones, Amilia Graves, Madalyn Smith and "one on the way"; and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mr. Jones was preceded in death by his daughter, Melissa Jones on April 9, 2015; two sisters, Gladys Vales and Nell Hern; and three brothers, Earl, Jerry and Doug Jones.
