    Denny Allen Hubler

    September 1, 1977 - September 21, 2021

Denny Allen Hubler, 44, departed this life on the afternoon of September 21, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, TN. Denny was born September 1, 1977 in Cedar Rapids, Iowa to David Hubler and Rita Inskeep Hubler Barbour. Denny spent his early childhood growing up on the family farm in Mechanicsville, Iowa where he developed his love for machinery and heavy equipment. He attended West High School in Iowa City, Iowa, graduating in 1996. Denny then attended Kirkwood Community College, graduating with a degree in construction technology. His first job was as a part time farm hand, as farming was his first love. He then worked as snow plow and heavy equipment operator for the Iowa Dept. of Transportation through his younger years. He also worked at The Brown Bottle restaurant, where he learned his famous chicken fettucine alfredo recipe. Denny began working for Transportation Corporation of America in 2000 driving a tractor trailer. He was one of only a few TA employees who was credentialed to drive the company’s Canadian routes. Denny had a strong worth ethic and sense of responsibility. He had received his one-million-mile accident-free award in 2018 and recently learned that he had reached his two-million-mile accident-free milestone. Denny married Jo Quick in 2002, making their home in Springfield, Missouri. They were blessed with three children; John, Megan and Kayla. Denny married Tracey O’Neal on July 6, 2018 and they recently made their home in the Finger, Tennessee community with Tracey’s daughters Katie and Lilly Snow, whom Denny loved as his own. He loved to celebrate holidays, milestones, and random Thursdays by grilling and preparing “feasts” for his loved ones. He was an avid fan of motorsports, enjoying truck and tractor pulls. Denny is survived by his wife, Tracey O’Neal Hubler, and bonus daughters Katie and Lilly Snow of Finger, TN; his children, John, Megan and Kayla Hubler, and their mother, Jo Stoddard (Greg) of Marionville, Missouri; his father, David Hubler of Madisonville, TN; mother, Rita Inskeep Barbour (George) of Atalissa, Iowa; sister, Tamara Wigim (Matt) of Atalissa, Iowa; and brother, Kevin Hubler (Jennifer) of Goodyear, Arizona. His nephews and nieces Anthony (Bekah) Trujillo and Matthew Trujillo, and Makennah and Brayden Hubler. He is also survived by grandmothers Thelma Hubler and Claudine Inskeep; aunts and uncles, Diane (Wayne) Novak, Donna (Steve) Amundson, and Duane (Jennifer) Hubler, as well as many dear cousins. Denny was deeply loved by his second family; Joe David and Patty O’Neal, Justin O’Neal, Seth O’Neal, Ava O’Neal, and Hayley O’Neal of Henderson, TN; Sean, Jennifer, John Holden, and Ruby O’Neal of Sardis Lake, MS; and Ian, Keenan and Liam O’Neal of Scotts Hill, TN. Denny was proceeded in death by grandfathers Carl Inskeep and Charles Hubler; uncles Chris Inskeep and Dan Nevins; his infant brother, Anthony David Hubler (1976); an infant son, Bailey Allen Hubler (2002); and beloved step-mother, Shelia Hubler (2020). Visitation will be held Monday, September 27, from 10 am until noon and Sunday, September 26, from 2 pm until 5 pm at Shackelford’s Casey Chapel in Henderson, TN. A memorial service will be held at noon. A meal will follow at the Henderson First United Methodist Church fellowship hall immediately following. Shackelford Funeral Directors of Henderson 989-2421
