Dessrie M. Sigler

Mrs. Sigler departed this life on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Pine Meadows Healthcare in Bolivar.

A native of Ruleville, MS, located in Sunflower County, she was one of the eight children of the late Wyot and Ruby Mae Williams Horis

On March 6, 1948, she was united in marriage to Robert E. Sigler, Jr. Their union continued for 58 years until his passing on November 24, 2006. Mrs. Sigler lived most of her life in Memphis where she worked as one of the first IBM operators in the city.

While there, the Sigler's were members of Mountain Terrace church of Christ. In 1992, they moved to Middleton and worshiped with the church of Christ there.

She leaves two daughters, Linda (Jerry) Mitchell of Hernando, MS and Joyce (Gary) Byers of Middleton; one son, Bob Sigler of Memphis; one brother, Aaron Horis of Harrison, AR; six grandchildren, Jay Mitchell, Shannon Rister, Stephanie Byers, Greg Byers, Julie Fisher and Lindsay Sigler; and 15 great-grandchildren, Alex and Cole Mitchell, Austin and Allyson Sisco, Alexis, Cameryn and Delaney Byers, Hayden Wadley, Nathan, Griffin, Reed and Annie Rister, Garrett Inghram, Paxton and Sophie Fisher.

In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Karen Taylor; two grandchildren, Jason Wyot Sigler and Lauren Paige Sigler; four sisters, Grace Downey, Gladys Kemp, Beryl Pyron and Erie Peeples; and two brothers, Nathan and Thomas Horis.
