Dianna Lee Maxwell Moore, 69 of Middleton, departed this life early Monday morning, January 28, 2019 at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital.
The wife of Mike Moore, who survives, she worked as a secretary for MLGW in Memphis and was also a substitute teacher at Middleton Elementary and High Schools for about 10 years. She was born Monday, September 12, 1949, in Springfield, MO, daughter of the late Newton Lee Maxwell and Margie Ola Sykes Maxwell and moved to Hardeman County in 1952. She was saved at Hebron Baptist Church at age 12 and was currently a member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Mrs. Moore was well known for talking on the phone, encouraging and evangelizing others. She enjoyed gospel music, riding in the wagon, horses and collecting Coca-Cola memorabilia. Her family states that she was always sharing her faith with everyone, and really 'talked' her relationship with God. An avid 'prayer warrior', she loved going to church and being around her family and grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Mike Moore of Middleton; two daughters, Jennifer Cox (Ricky) and Andrea Howell (David), all of Middleton; two brothers, Dickie Maxwell (Diane) of Crump, TN and Kent Maxwell (Lisa) of Middleton; four grandchildren, Jecamyn Cox Jackson (Cody), Cassidy Cox, Anna Kate Howell and Gracie Howell; and one great grandchild 'on the way', Raya Lee Jackson. Memorials in her name may be sent to the Gideons International, PO Box 182, Bolivar, TN 38008.
