Dineta Bumpous Williamson

was born in Wayne County, Tennessee on July 3, 1952 the daughter of the late George Bumpous, Sr. and Opal Vernita Hassell Bumpous.

On September 21, 1985 she was united in marriage to Frenchie Williamson, who preceded his wife in death on February 6, 2016.

Dineta worked as a secretary for Stauffer Chemical Company in Jackson, Tennessee. She was a member of Mt. Tabor Baptist Church in Clifton, Tennessee. Dineta loved cooking, working with flowers, interior decorating, and was an Home Interior Representative.

She departed this life on Sunday, January 23, 2022 in Jackson, Tennessee at the age of 69 years, 6 months and 20 days.

Dineta is survived by her brothers, George Bumpous, Jr. and David Allan Bumpous, both of Savannah, Tennessee; nephew, Jonathan Bumpous of Savannah, Tennessee; nieces, Theda Bumpous, Lakeisha Hopson, and Tonice Brashers, all of Savannah, Tennessee; host of great nieces and nephews; one great great niece; and one great great nephew.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one sister, Deborah Ann Hopson Barnes and one nephew, Rufus Hopson, Jr.
