Don Burns

Don Burns was born September 11, 1937 in McNairy County, TN, the son of the late Obra Lee Burns and Ella Marie McCoy Burns.

He was united in marriage to Ann Long on June 22, 1962.

Mr. Burns worked for Packaging Corporation of America as an instrument mechanic for 38 years. He was an avid golfer, enjoyed the game of baseball as a proud fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, and a supporter of the TN Volunteers. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force and a member of Gravel Hill Baptist Church in the Eastview Community.

Mr. Burns leaves behind a wonderful legacy for his family - a legacy of faith, love for country, family and friends.

Mr. Burns departed this life on March 2, 2022 in Murfreesboro, Tennessee at the age of 84 Years, 5 Months, 19 Days. He is survived by his wife Ann Burns of Ramer, TN; a son, Donnie Burns and wife Grace of Murfreesboro, TN; three grandchildren, Lindsey Campbell and husband Daniel, Elizabeth Huntsinger and husband Russ, Zack Burns and wife Sara; six great grandchildren, Gabe Whitt, Maysie Burns, Dorothy Burns, Theo Burns, Haddon Huntsinger and Hensley Huntsinger; and a host of extended family and friends.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Burns was preceded in death by a brother, Terry Burns.
