Donna Rickman Chval

Donna Rickman Chval was born in Pittsburg Landing, Tennessee on May 24, 1937 the daughter of the late Notra and Allan Glover.

On May 4, 1990 she was united in marriage to Melvin Chval, who preceded his wife in death on December 31, 2017.

Donna was the Parks and Recreation Director in Romeoville, Illinois until her retirement in 1993. She was also the Romeoville Assistant Mayor for four years. In her spare time Donna enjoyed bowling, golfing, and traveling. Donna's greatest joy was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She departed this life on Friday, June 24, 2022 in Corinth, Mississippi at the age of 85 years and 1 month.

Donna is survived by her son, Charles Rickman, Sr. and his wife Patricia of Shiloh, Tennessee; stepsons, Craig Chval and his wife Kathy of Chicago, Illinois and Keith Chval and his wife Betsy of Clarendon Hills, Illinois; grandchildren, Cherish McGee and her husband Anthony, Tim Shutt and his wife Heather, Melissa Shutt, Charlie Rickman and his wife Olevia, Lauren Kaveney and her husband Sean, Craig Chval, Jr., Luke Chval, Kevin Chval, Brian Chval, Daniel Chval, Caitlin Chval, and Colin Chval; great grandchildren, Triston Gray, Dylan Gray, Tea" Shutt, Reigan Young, Walker McGee, Aubrey Rickman, Adalyn Rickman, John Mark Rickman, Evelyn Kaveney, James Kaveney, and William Kaveney; sisters, Mary Belle Carroll of Lewisburg, Tennessee and Robbie Waters of Soddy Daisy, Tennessee; and brothers, Ferrel Glover of Murfreesboro, Tennessee and Johnny (Wayne) Glover of Savannah, Tennessee.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by one son, Mark Rickman; brother, Allan "Stick" Glover; and father of her children, C.G. Rickman.
