Doretta Isbell Murray of Bethel Springs, Tennessee and community of Murray Hill was born on March 5, 1930 in Bethel Springs to the late Ed and Nellie Wilson Isbell.
She was united in marriage to V. O'neal Murray on April 2, 1949. Mr. Murray preceded her in death on December 7, 2012.
Doretta was the retired owner of Murray Hill Manufacturing in Bethel Springs. She loved sewing, making her own clothes and spending as much time as she could with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She raised her kids, grandkids, great grandkids, and helped raise her siblings. Her door was always open to anyone needing loved, she was the ultimate caretaker and nurturer.
She was a hard working lady and a gracious hostess. She could prepare a full course meal in less than an hour and loved sharing her table with her family and friends. She was a member of Purdy Presbyterian Church.
Mrs. Murray departed this life on September 22, 2020 in Adamsville, Tennessee at the age of 90 Years, 6 Months, 17 Days. She is survived by
a daughter, Candy Butler and husband Donnie of Bethel Springs, TN; six grandchildren, Shiree Combs and husband Chris, Shane Murray and wife Susan, Heather Webster and partner Libby, Tiffaney Cima and husband Dennie, Donnie W. Butler and wife Shay, Dustin Butler; eleven great grandchildren, Hilary Gean and husband Bolton, Tyler Combs, Mollie and Tillie Cima, Luke Webster, Blair Prather, Paige and Zach Murray, Blair Prather, Kendall, Taylor, and Carmynn Butler; a brother, Charles Isbell and wife Georgia of Bethel Springs, TN; special nieces, Nancy Gray and husband Dale, Tracy Ingle; great niece, Crystal Moore; special lady who acts more like a daughter, Louise Murray and husband Leon; daughter-in-law, Ruth Murray; sisters-in-law, Pauline Walker, Frances Murray, Betty Murray, and Diane Murray; brothers-in-law, Larry Murray and wife Janice, John Ross Murray and wife Lola; numerous nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly; many other family and dear friends.
In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Murray was preceded in death by a son, Jimmy O'Neal Murray; two sisters, Tommy Jean (Isbell) Mills, Lola Faye Isbell.
