Dorothy Ann Thompson was born on December 1, 1926, the daughter of the late Horace Dyer Campbell and Gladys Robinson. Dorothy departed this life on August 26, 2017, at the age of 90 years, 8 months, and 25 days.
Before moving to Savannah, Tennessee in 2006, Dorothy lived in Coloma, Wisconsin, Niles, Michigan, Mitchell, South Dakota, Spokane, Washington, and Southern California. She attended Pickwick United Methodist Church where she was active in yoga and the community center. Dorothy was a member of St. John's Church of Christ in Niles, Michigan, and Macabees and TOPS.
Dorothy is survived by her sons, Jeff Griffin of Counce, Tennessee and Gary Griffin of Powder Springs, Georgia; brother, Dyer "Bud" Campbell of San Luis Obispo, California; sister, Robin Batten of Charlotte, North Carolina; grandchildren, Debbie McCain, Brandy Griffin, and Colleen Griffin; and great grandchildren, Alexis Saulnier, Luke McCain, Gavin McCain, Elsie Griffin, and Owen Griffin.
In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her first husband, Hillel Harry Griffin; second husband, Robert Thompson; and sister, Harriette Jones.
