Dorothy L. (Dot) Ganus
was born in Corinth, Mississippi on October 11, 1933 the daughter of the late Lacey and Laura Mae Browder.
On September 5, 1953 she was united in marriage to Bobby Charles Ganus, who preceded his wife in death on March 3, 2006.
Dorothy retired from Garan Manufacturing. She loved to travel, going on many trips which included an Alaskan cruise and trip to Canada. Her favorite place was closer to home, the Great Smokey Mountains, where she left a lifetime of memories with her husband, children, grandchildren, and even great grandchildren.
She departed this life on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at her home in Michie, Tennessee at the age of 88 years, 3 months and 1 day.
Dorothy is survived by her children, Kenny Ganus of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kathy Harrison of Michie, Tennessee, and Steve Ganus of Benton, Arkansas; grandchildren, Billy Harrison, Nathan Harrison, Jason Harrison, Cody Harrison, Christi Hall, Candy Hollins, Shelby Ganus, Josh Brown, Hannah Hicks, Rod Ganus, Kristan Ganus, Kyle Ganus, Sarah Waddell, Stormie Ganus, and Savannah Ganus; 20 great grandchildren; and sisters, Gayle Cherry and Wilma Webb, both of Counce, Tennessee.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two sons, Denny (Doc) Ganus and Charles Edward (Eddie) Ganus; daughter, Elizabeth (Kay) White; two grandsons, Ken Ganus and Kaleb Brown; and one brother, Billy Browder.
