Dorothy Milstead Shearon

March 28, 1927 - July 19, 2020

Mrs. Shearon passed away early Sunday morning at Morningside of Paris, TN. She was the daughter of the late William Robert and Mary Ella Fawcett Ragon. Mrs. Shearon was a member of the Bolivar First Baptist Church, served as Hardeman County Library Trustee for 38 years and was on the County Election Commission Counting Board. She married Mr. Hugh Morton Milstead on August 25, 1946 and, together, they owned and operated Bolivar Packing Plant until it's closure in 1990. Mr. Milstead passed away on March 11, 2003. She also was a homemaker. She then married Mr. George Curtis Shearon on June 11, 2005. Mr. Shearon departed this life on October 18, 2016. She leaves two grandsons, Marcus and Brian Weeks; and four great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Madison, Briley and Kolton. She was also preceded in death by her daughter, Janice Milstead Tucker; her son, Charles Lynn Milstead; and granddaughter, Cindy Milstead. In light of the Coronavirus pandemic, the family asks that everyone please wear a mask during visitation, the funeral service and graveside committal. Additionally, please consider the following guidelines: * Maintain 6 feet between yourself and the next closest person; * Refrain from hugs and handshakes; * When you sneeze or cough, use your elbow to cover your nose and mouth; * Wash your hands often; * Avoid touching your face; and * Minimize time spent in places where people gather.
