Dorothy "Mush" Jones

Mrs. Dorothy "Mush" Jones, age 84 of Whiteville, Tennessee, departed this life Monday, December 11, 2017.
Mrs. Jones was born Sunday, March 12, 1933 in Memphis, daughter of the late John Henry Evans and Dorothy Matilda McKinney Evans and had lived in the Hardeman County area since 1974. On Saturday, February 17, 1951, she was united in marriage to Mr. Robert Evans Jones, who preceded her in death June 5, 2008.
She worked as a medical transcriptionist for Bolivar General Hospital for 20 years, retiring in 1994. She was a member of the Bolivar Church of Christ and enjoyed painting and reading. She loved her family very much.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Bruce of Whiteville, and Janet Bell of Medina; brother, John Evans of Tomball, Texas; grandchildren, Julie Porch, Jeff Bruce, Jason Bruce, Tommy Ferrell, and Melanie Ferrell; and four great-grandchildren, Kirsten Watson, Annalynn Bruce, Zach Ferrell, and Catherine Ferrell.
Charitable contributions made in Mrs. Jones's memory may be sent to the Bolivar Church of Christ.
